The Power of Weekly Rhythm

Every Friday, we have a team meeting.

It’s remote. It’s consistent. And it’s one of the most important rhythms we have.

But what makes it work isn’t just the meeting itself.

It’s how we approach it.

One thing that might surprise people is this:

I don’t run the meeting.

Someone on our team owns it.

They prep it. They organize it. They keep it moving.

And at a certain point, they hand it over to me.

That structure matters.

Because strong teams aren’t built around one person doing everything.

They’re built when people take ownership.

And leadership creates space for that to happen.

There’s a part of the meeting we call “Rachel’s Ramblings.”

It’s my time each week to get in front of the team.

Sometimes it’s structured.

Sometimes it’s not.

But it’s always intentional.

It’s where I share what I’m seeing. What I’m thinking about. What I want us to improve.

Last week, we talked about networking.

And the reality is — networking doesn’t come naturally to everyone.

For some people, it feels uncomfortable. Forced. Even unnecessary.

But it’s a skill.

And like any skill, it can be learned.

So we focused on the fundamentals.

How to approach it. How to think about it. How to get better at it as a team.

Because growth doesn’t just happen in the work we do.

It happens in how we show up.

In conversations. In relationships.
In opportunities we create.

That’s what this time each week is really about.

It’s not just a meeting.

It’s a moment.

A moment to align. A moment to grow. A moment to lead.

And I don’t take that lightly.

Because as a leader, having consistent time in front of your team — where you can challenge, guide, and develop them — matters more than most people realize.

And the best part?

It’s not about perfection.

It’s about progress.

Every week, getting a little bit better.
